We Are Southern Roots
The names, nations, and ancestral memory erased from American history—restored.
Southern Roots is a cultural and historical platform uncovering the true identity of Southeastern Black Americans—and reconnecting all Americans to the deeper origins of this land.
For too long, our people have been seen only through the lens of slavery, stripped of names, nations, and sacred memory. But the truth is deeper than the textbooks. Before we were called “Black,” we were sovereign peoples—leaders of town-civilizations, members of confederacies, and keepers of sacred law.
We are not just from the South.
We are the South. We are the original Americans.
Through books, documentaries, digital archives, and educational media, Southern Roots brings forward the stories, maps, records, and lineages that challenge the racial myths we’ve inherited—and restore ancestral memory where it was erased.
Our goal is not to confront, but to clarify.
Not to divide, but to restore.
By returning to names based on lineage, we move toward a nation beyond caste—one rooted in truth.
This isn’t a revision of history.
It’s a reawakening.
A platform.
A promise.
